FAQs

How do I enter the program?
During the Promotion Period, visit www.powerabrightfuture.com and complete and submit the registration form. Once you submit the form, you may upload a submission (during the Nomination Phase) or vote for a submission (during the Voting Phase).

Ten (10) times during the Nomination Phase, you may proceed to the Contest Entry page, where you will be provided directions on how to upload one (1) photo in either the Explore, Play or Create category, representing your accredited public or private school (“School”) or nominated program, along with a short summary of how the grant will be used by answering the following questions (in 1000 characters or fewer): 1. Why does your school need a PABF grant?; 2. Describe your school program, existing or proposed; and 3. How will the PABF grant make a difference at your school?

Category descriptions:
  • Explore: Education-focused programs (e.g. establishing a school recycling program)
  • Play: Sports and exercise-focused programs (e.g. building a playground)
  • Create: Arts-focused programs (e.g. funding an after-school music program)
  • Judge's Pick: Clorox and a group of education experts will review all nominations and pick one from each category based on merit to award a $25,000 grant in each category.

See a sample entry for suggestions on how to enter.

Please see the Official Rules for further details.
What is the Judge's Pick category? How will the winner be selected?
Clorox and a group of education experts will review all nominations and pick one from each category based on merit to award a $25,000 grant in each category.

Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • Quality of Submission (33%);
  • Impact of Program on Children (33%); and
  • Adherence to Contest Theme of Helping Children (34%)
What prizes are you giving away?

There will be a total of 7 grants given away this year — 4 based on votes, and 3 based on merit. The nomination with the most votes overall will receive a $50,000 grant. The nominations with the most votes in each category will each receive a $25,000 grant. Clorox will then review all nominations and pick one from each category based on merit to award a $25,000 grant in each category.
Please see the Official Rules for further details.
